BCF 2015 December Program
Come and Join us in this Merrymaking with December music from all around the world. Learn about different Cultures and Religions and help a good cause. This Year selected Cause is Sanfilippo Syndrome Research through the GABO MILAGRO project.
2015 Winter Program will benefit Sanfilippo Syndrome Research
At BCDQ Cultural Foundation Inc., we are coming to our first Winter Program. As we approach this season as a team for the first time, we want to establish a tradition of helping a special cause's fundraising effort to honor the winter holiday spirit of goodwill.
This year we’ll be helping Sanfilippo Syndrome Research through the GABO MILAGRO Project
Sanfilippo Syndrome is a rare and mortal disease that affect approximately 1 in every 70,000 births (whereas MPS disorders as a whole occur in 1 in every 25,000 births). This disease takes its name from Dr. Sylvester Sanfilippo who described the condition in 1963. This disease belongs to a group of illnesses called MPS diseases or Mucopolysaccharidoses. Sanfilippo Syndrome is also known as MPSIII.
This campaign will benefit research through the “Gabo Milagro” Project. A fundraiser effort started by the Nancy and Hector Garces (in collaboration with parents of other children affected by this illness) to help find the cure for their beloved son Gabo. Our goal is to educate the public about the disease and encourage an appreciation for the lives it touches while helping the fundraising effort needed to find a cure.
From November 1st to December 31st BCF will also collect donations through the link below. Your donations through BCF link are tax free.

Social Programs
This Music in Me
This BCF's Social Program, dedicated to the Elder-Alzheimer Patient, is based on the latest findings from the Institute for Music and Neurological Function (www.imnf.org). Our volunteers periodically visit nursing homes with special Alzheimer care units and encourage the participation of these patients through the use of relevant music. The results are astonishing! We are currently visiting the "Cinco Ranch Alzheimer's Special Care Center" at 3206 S. Fry Road. Katy, TX 77450.
